Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and dance choreographer Dhanashree Verma have officially ended their marriage. The Bandra Family Court in Mumbai finalized their divorce on Thursday, March 20, 2025, following a directive from the Bombay High Court to expedite the proceedings due to Chahal’s upcoming commitments with the Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.

During the final hearing, both Chahal and Verma appeared in court, arriving separately. Chahal’s lawyer confirmed the dissolution of the marriage, stating, “The divorce is done, and the marriage has been dissolved.”

In response to speculation regarding alimony, Verma’s family refuted claims that she had demanded ₹60 crore, labeling such reports as baseless. A family member stated, “We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered.”

Following the divorce, both individuals have expressed a desire for privacy and have not made public statements regarding the matter. Chahal is now expected to focus on his cricketing career with the Punjab Kings in the upcoming IPL season, while Verma continues her work in dance choreography and social media influencing.
