Bollywood’s New Playground: Sound Stars UK & Aawas Yojana Bring 100 Songs to Uttarakhand
For years, Bollywood has searched for fresh backdrops. Now, Dehradun-based Sound Stars UK is rolling out a 100-song slate, all filmed in Uttarakhand. The company has appointed Aawas Yojana as its PropTech & Locations Enablement Partner to streamline shoots across the state.
This means Bollywood directors and music producers can access locations digitally—hotels, villas, cafés, heritage spots—without the usual hassle of middlemen or inflated costs. Payments will be escrow-secured, contracts digitized, and stays arranged with one tap.
“With Aawas Yojana’s proptech rails, we can lock locations and stays with confidence, letting our teams focus on storytelling,” says Smriti Sahgal.
“We’re proving how real-estate technology can fuel film and tourism growth in India,” adds Raj Chaudhary.
